On 8 April, a new chapter officially began in the lives of our colleagues Kai, Maximilian, Jonas, Mario, Christopher and Jona (not in the picture): Our former trainees were now officially bidden farewell to their apprenticeship and once again warmly welcomed as permanent employees in their new departments. The congratulations and the presentation of the graduation certificates unfortunately had to take place on a small scale again, although we would have liked to celebrate this special moment with a cosy dinner as in the past. Of course, the celebration is not cancelled, only postponed.

So the farewell ceremony took place in-house with CEO Florian Keller, Jürgen Mann as well as training manager Michael Pezolt and Dominik Potzel. All supervisors were visibly proud of the very good performance of our former apprentices and were very happy to continue our tradition: All six were taken on as permanent employees, although two colleagues will be leaving us again in autumn for further training. Especially in these exciting times, this is a special privilege and a sign of a stable, trusting corporate construct.

The apprenticeship at PASS Stanztechnik AG represents one of the most important milestones in the company, something we are very proud of. Almost all trainees of the past 20 years have been taken on as permanent employees, thus securing the increase in skilled workers for the future. The period of employment of skilled workers from our own ranks is also very gratifying. What's more, the graduating class of 2021 is a very special one: Our five industrial mechanics are the last of their apprenticeship at PASS who still completed their first year of training at KSB Service GmbH in Pegnitz. For 18 years, there was a training cooperation between PASS Stanztechnik AG and the neighbouring pump manufacturer, in whose training workshop our apprentices were allowed to complete their practical training phase. In 2018, another very important milestone in the training history of PASS took place: Since then, trainees as industrial mechanics or cutting machine operators (m/f/d) can look forward to their own, highly technological training workshop with Industry 4.0 standards and are trained entirely at PASS right from the start. Of course, all trainees benefit from this facility, because every single one of them, regardless of their training occupation, passes through all departments and thus also gets the opportunity to get to know the workshop practice.

We are very proud of all our trainees and of being able to offer the possibilities of such a modern apprenticeship with many other additional offers (e.g. tutoring, digital learning opportunities).           

In any case, we are all happy with our colleagues and once again wish them a successful start and all the best! Great job, guys!
